Baidya-led alliance for interaction

An alliance of 33 fringe parties led Mohan Baidya has decided to hold a national interaction with all political parties, civil society, lawyers and other stakeholders.

The move primarily aims at garnering support from leaders of the major political parties, including the Nepali Congress and UML, who rule out poll chances without bringing the dissident parties on board.

A joint meeting of Baidya-led alliance held at the CPN-Maoist headquarters on Tuesday said the discussion programme “Broader National Political Agreement and Election” will be held in the Capital on June 23. Leaders said the venue will be finalised soon.

The meeting also urged the government to provide all help to the people displaced by natural disasters.
