» UML Chairman Khanal flies to USA

CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal flew to USA for a 10-day visit on Tuesday to take part in a conference organised by the Overseas Nepali Forum. The conference is being held in New York from August 2-4. Chairman Khanal is also scheduled to meet United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon during his visit. Khanal will meet Ban on Thursday and discuss about the impending Constituent Assembly election in Nepal. UML Central Committee member Bhim Rawal, fellow leader Bhisma Adhikari and Khanal's personal aide Ram Babu Adhikari have accompanied the UML Chairman on his USA visit.
