3 killed, 5 missing in Taplejung landslide

Three persons were killed when a landslide buried a house at Thukimba in Taplejung district on Wednesday night.

The landslide triggered by incessant rainfall killed Hasta Bahadur Siwa and Salman Siwa. The identification of another person killed in the incident has not been ascertained yet. Five persons have gone missing in the landslip.

Local people and police have been carrying out the rescue work. A team of Nepal Army and Armed Police Force from district headquarters has also been dispatched for rescue in the region.
